Lots of nice things happened this past Sunday night. You know if you have read some of my entries here that I wouldn't not be watching this type of event --- at all --- if it weren't for the high opinion I have of Kristen Stewart.
As always, Kristen gets more beautiful every time she makes an appearance.
The only reason I know half of the names I saw is because I follow entertainment news strictly because of Kristen and I learn about others as I am trying to get to the Kristen news. Though I ignored celeb news in the past, I have always loved movies. The names I know are now picking up the generation awards. The class of Reese Witherspoon is something I want to touch on. What an incredible career she has had to date. If you haven't seen Election with Matthew Broderick, then you missed one of the better films of the 90s. And Freeway with Keifer Sutherland. I was so happy to see her get the Oscar for Walk the Line, a film in which she and J. Phoenix honored the life of a man I idolized. I am pleased to learn she and Kristen have struck up a friendship. Kristen has no shortage of mentors, but Reese would be a good one. I felt her comments (possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show) didn't strike out at anyone in particular, but rather validated/complimented the way Kristen has chosen to conduct her personal life.
My admiration for Kristen includes the people she chooses to spend her time with. I believe Robert when he said she was a great judge of character. I decided last month that I plan to avoid discussing her relationship because I don't think she wants it being discussed. If people didn't obsess on it, then maybe she wouldn't mind. However, when Kristen is attacked by hateful idiots I may poke fun at their stupidity as my last post did.
Like Kristen, Rob is one of a kind. His bizarre behavior is pure and refreshing and Sunday night was classic Rob. Why hire a media coach and ruin his natural bizarre way of thinking and acting when he is having such a good time? It's very entertaining. Kristen and Robert both have an integrity that one wouldn't expect to find in that group. I want her to be happy as she embarks on a life in which I think she will entertain me and others for many years to come. She seems very happy. So I hope there are very few changes in the personal department. But it's not my business.
I was disappointed in some of the reactions I saw after the Best Kiss award. Come on!!! Did anyone think these two would kiss on national television? Never. No one should have hoped for or expected that. It's an example of people projecting their values and expectations onto people who are in a situation none of us can imagine. Plus, the reason they won't, that reserved personality that would rather blend in than seek the spotlight, is a huge factor in why I think so highly of this young lady.
I thought the trailer for Breaking Dawn Part I was pretty damn good. I am so looking forward to it. I have no doubts these last two movies are going to be much better than the previous three. Bella squeezing Charlie's hand set the tone of the trailer and Rob's voice over stepped it up notch. Reports from the MTVMAs had those two getting excited on stage while the trailer played. It seems they are so pumped about this movie. Kristen's ET Weekly interview on Breaking Dawn revealed allot of genuine emotion about this project. I am just as excited to see the press that will precede the release date. Then after BD Part I, we get On the Road, which might warrant some awards. It will be an amazing time for Kristen fans between October through this time next year. Then a short summer before BD part II.

Why the infrequent updates
I had hoped to update this blog twice a week, but that is just turning out to be unrealistic for me. Nearly all of the posts, and especially the ones
that were widely read, were written in about 20 minutes because I knew exactly what I wanted to say and got it done. I feel like I have gotten all of
my opinions out there regarding Kristen. I do find myself more impressed with her every time she is in the news. She is very rare and I have never
felt compelled to write about anyone before. I won't let her go undefended and I do want to know about instances when she is criticized. But at the same time,
I am not going to respond to the daily "foam" as some of my friends in this fandom would call it. The people out there claiming PR are just not credible. And PR professionals are getting ticked off
about their vocation being tarnished.
Message boards aren't credible. And for the record, I am not credible. Anyone can start a blog. Its up to the
readers to decide if they think you are credible. All I do is give my opinion. The lunatic fringe that hates Kristen or Robert will say and do anything to try and make
their case. They have to save Robert from himself. ***Yes. I acknowledge that the exact opposite exists as well**** Its so annoying. The haters on both sides combine to make
a loud minority. Some of their attacks are tragically personal as well. They might make interesting subjects of a sociological study.
I want to avoid this nastiness as much as I possibly can.
If someone dares to go negative about Kristen on a widely read blog, then I will step in and counter them. --- If you guys tell me about it. Other than that, I'll update this blog when I am inspired to say something.
Its hard to find a credible critique of Kristen as an actor. Anyone that has taken the time to see her in more than Twilight knows that she is a rare talent. The Roger Eberts of the world have been on board
with Kristen since Sundance last January.
Any remaining doubts of Kristen's talents will be gone by the middle of next year. After Welcome to the Rileys and On the Road have been seen, Kristen's skill will be widely known. Plus, we might be in for some joy come award season.
A few quickhits
---Kristen's hair change. Last summer, when I heard she was going blondish for OTR, I didn't want her to change. But now I have grown fond of the strawberry. I love the Bella hair too. Anytime she changes, whatever it had been will be missed.
---All the R/K date nights. I sure was glad to see that smiling picture came out. We don't know that they were aware of being photographed at that moment, but I hope they were. I decided six weeks ago that all pap pics are bad, even the cute ones. But they are going to happen regardless. And I have found myself unable to not look at them so far. If they did know they were being photographed, then there might have been some shift in the way they think about their public perception. Perhaps Rob's agent, who was in that picture, had convinced them to loosen up. Pure speculation here on my part. But I want to remain vigilant of not encouraging pap photos. I wish there was something I could do.
---Kristen did some serious flying over the past few days. We saw her with Rob on Friday in Baton Rouge. Then she was at the Scream Awards Saturday night ( I have my dvr set for 8 p.m. CST Tuesday) Then to NYC today. That's allot of air travel. I hope Summit or someone put her in a private jet for some of that travel.

Missing Kristen
Everywhere I look everyone is talking about how they miss Kristen.
I can certainly relate. That beautiful smiling face, which can be shown in more different looks than I have ever seen, is addictive. Fortunately so many of you have archives of photos. I am guilty of watching the sappy R/K youtubes as well.
It's a lazy Saturday afternoon and I suspect Kristen is having a great time in the company of good people.
What a strange hobby\obsession this is! It's unlike anything I have experienced before. I love this time of year. And I am enjoying the things I normally do. Football. I do the whole thing: fantasy leagues, I have a nephew playing at the HS level. And I like to wager online. The weather is perfect. In other years I would go on a long bike ride on Saturdays. I plan to get back to that soon.
I don't need to see Kristen today. If i did see her, what are the chances it would be a photo in which her privacy is not being invaded? Not so great. If she isn't happy, then I don't want to see it. So the archive it is.
She and her company are probably enjoying this day. Believing that is good enough to feed the addiction, for me anyway.
I have mentioned before that when I have had an obsession on a female in the past, we knew each other, and had dated or at least had some type of banter going. If the said female was seeing someone else, then naturally that guy was the biggest jerk I knew. That is just not the case at all here. I like it that she is with Rob. He is not a jerk. I don't think Kristen would date a jerk. She has said she likes funny, self deprecating men. That is Rob. He seems like such a good guy. I wish the best for him as well.
We will see some pictures soon. The kind they don't mind us seeing. They will be working, but still enjoying each the company of one another. They may fight a few times over the movie. Then makeup.
For them, working on a movie together must cover a whole range of emotions. I am sure they feel some stress and the pressure to deliver. But this is what they are good at and why they are in demand.

Red Carpets
A well known fan site I frequent has had a good discussion going this week regarding future openness (or not) by Rob and Kristen regarding their relationship.
Specifically, the topic discussed is if they will support each other or not on the Red Carpet when one of them has a premiere. My view on the topic has changed a bit as this discussion has proceeded.
Those of us who are truly fans of them wish for them to be able to experience some normality in their relationship. We can't help but smile at them when they look at each other, when that bubble is up, and there needn't be guilt over this if we witnessed this in a setting such as the Eclipse premiere. I don't care that they were working that night: people just don't look at each other like that without something quiet serious going on. But since they were supposed to be there together, they had the perfect excuse. If they behave even remotely close to that, say for example, at a Welcome To The Riley's screening, then their relationship would be the story and the movie an afterthought.
But can they show up together, ignore all the reporters, and simply be there together? That all depends on what they are comfortable with. The relationship
is old news, but it's still the hottest topic. Such an appearance would certainly draw coverage. To what degree? The first one would probably be huge. And, IMO, it would begin to taper off afterwards.
Most true fans agree that the private nature of the relationship is special. As Rob said during his Nightline interview, he is not trying to "sell" it. That interview was as close to an admission as there has been. Kristen wouldn't even have allowed that much discussion. It's far too real to "sell" therefore, protecting it is the absolute correct action. For Rob and Kristen, with their relationship being the uber hot topic that it is, the "no comment" IS really necessary to counter balance what's already in the public domain.
So there is the need to protect what is real. Plus, neither of them are attention whores. I have written before that one the most appealing traits about Kristen (and thus, Rob) is being 100% genuine. She grew up in Hollywood and it's my opinion that one of her biggest turn offs is the fakeness that permeates much of Hollywood and the endless self promotion of some it's inhabitants.
The Red Carpet is sort of a cheesy, self-indulgent, "look at me" kind of deal. It's the kind of event I think I Kristen never looks forward too, regardless of her relationship.
We might see Rob show up at her movies, and vice versa. Kristen showed up solo (for the cameras she was solo) at Rob's Remember Me premiere. However appearing as a couple on the Red Carpet doesn't seem to fit the R\K personality.
As a friend stresses to me, the best we can hope for is that they can choose to do what feels comfortable to them. Our vicarious addiction must come a distant second.
One final thought of a hypothetical future event that will happen someday. And its just opinion as is everything else i say. If Kristen were nominated for an Academy Award ---- Wild horses couldn't keep Rob from being there to cheer the loudest.

Back the eff of Kristen
I don't have time for more than paragraph this morning. I am just pleased to see Kristen wearing the Beasty Boys T-shirt that we last saw Rob wearing in Montreal.
It doesn't matter when the picture was taken, or who the shirt belongs too.
This 20 year girl takes way too much hate from grown women, who disgust me, and who should know better. Leave Kristen alone, "get off her dick."
I hope Kristen knows that the number of people that love her, for exactly who she is, far exceeds the small, yet vocal, group of fringe lunatics that promote hate.

A recap, roadtrip to see Kristen
Last week was kind of interesting. We saw the script flipped on the American tradition of traveling across of Europe. Some of us were lucky enough get to do this after graduating college. I wasn't one of the lucky ones. There are some major differences in what some of us got to do in Europe as opposed what Robert and his pals did --- but it's still an experience that you do with your close friends, when you are young and not tied down with a 9-5 job.
It's a shame that while in Texas, they stopped in Lubbock, where I went to college, and got surrounded by gawking sorority girls after someone announced his whereabouts on Facebook.
Then they next stopped in Austin, where I lived for the past decade, and basically had an entire bar to themselves. I am proud of my neighbors for letting them have some peace. It was a slow night in Austin, but even if it wasn't, we are used to seeing celebrities here. ****Austin is on any musicians radar, plus we have a respectable film industry here. I am sure he will be back. Last spring, Kristen was here for a screening of The Runaways, plus she enjoyed several bands during the SXSW Film/Music/Interactive festival. I had a comment the upcoming Austin City Limits festival, but I going to hold that thought for now****
Young Americans are not tweeted about when they board a train in London bound for Amsterdam or every time they walk into a pub. Rob was very gracious, as Rob and Kristen always are, to people that ask for a picture. I know its awesome that they do that, but I have already said my piece about autograph/picture seekers.
I have driven from Las Vegas to Central Texas and its not something I plan to repeat. It's not really that fun of a drive, but I was in a hurry then and I have spent my life making road trips. Rob, on the other hand, had not had that experience and I am sure it was a blast for those guys. Plus, I am sure he got to see his incredible girlfriend (the one and only Kristen Stewart) after the long trek. If i were in Rob's position there is little i would not endure to see her. I think he might feel that way.
I am not interested in debating the non believers and for the most part I don't think they read this. I am just going off common sense here. The last confirmed sighting of Rob was Thursday (or was it Wednesday) in Houston. People don't drive from LA to Houston for the heck of it. The Road trip was a means to an end. Robert needed to kill a few days until Kristen could break away from work.
Thus his gracious friends joined him on a road trip. If seeing Kristen was not the carrot, then they would not have turned South, IMO.
Also, since they were traveling by car, it was much easier for Rob to avoid the paparazzi as he neared Kristen. I am very pleased that there hasn't been any news ( as of this writing).
I can't look at pap pictures again without feeling very guilty about it. So even if a picture surfaces of them smiling and holding hands, i will not react and try my damnedest not to look at it. If I celebrate such pictures, then I have no right to complain the next time the paps are rude to the happy couple. This is a position I will hold myself too, but I am not going to preach at anyone else about it. We have to come to these conclusions on our own.
I said this on Friday (not here) but hearing nothing about Rob & Kristen since Friday is a good thing. To me, and many of you, we know they are enjoying each others company.
One more thing I want to mention briefly before signing off. It's football season. I am occupied for the most part Friday through Sunday. I have my nephew's HS school games and then I have interest in many college and pro games Saturday and Sunday. And I am diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. I spend time handicapping the games beforehand, and I am small time gambler on the weekends. No. I am not gambling addict. I bet small on many games. I have a weekly budget of how much I am willing to lose and I stop if/when that limit is reached. That being said, I have come out ahead the last three years. I mentioned this for one reason. I don't have as much time to follow R/K. So I need a favor.
No news is good news as I said earlier. If something happens (on Saturday or Sunday) that you think i would want to know about, would someone please DM me on Twitter or leave a comment on this blog. Either action will send me an email and I always know when I get a new message. I will be very grateful for this.
BTW: As I said earlier, I don't think many hateful people read this blog. But if such a person were to leave a comment here that i don't like, it WILL be DELETED before anyone has a chance to see it. It's only happened once so far. (So if you don't like what you read here, just go away, you are not welcome).

Since we know our favorite couple must be getting some serious privacy, might I offer you a laugh? I never ask people to look at this kind of thing. It's worth it.

Kristen in league with elite actors
Yesterday on http://kstewaddiction.blogspot.com I discussed Kristen's movies that I have seen. I briefly touched on a comparison between Sean Penn and Kristen. I want to expand on that.
People complain about Kristen's media interviews. Sometimes she comes off as ackward. When a press member ask "the question" which they know not to ask, these press members define Kristen as downright hostile.
Kristen is a saint to the media when compared to a young Sean Penn. Sean wouldn't give interviews, period. He went on David Letterman once, refused to engage with Letterman's tactics, and chain smoked the whole time (this was well past the point when it was OK to smoke on a talkshow --- and Penn seemed to be daring Letterman to confront him). The whole interview Letterman was walking on egg shells, not wanting to ignite Penn's well documented temper. Penn had a bad boy reputation. However, I think it was just as much about Penn being uncomfortable with the media and his immature way of dealing with it was by being hostile. He would not attend award shows. On at least one occasion, Penn was nominated for an Oscar and didn't even show. About 10 years ago, he really chilled out. With encouragement from guys like George Clooney and Kevin Spacey, Sean showed up to the Oscar Awards and took home the best actor award. Penn is still somewhat media shy when it comes to discussing his career. However he has become a heroic philanthropist and goes on CNN regularly to talk about the suffering still happening in Haiti and post Katrina New Orleans. One of the few bright spots from Katrina was hearing about Penn rescuing people himself in the days after Katrina. He flew down right after the storm, obtained a boat, didn't announce himself to the media, and was spotted making many trips, by himself, to rescue stranded people. That's a true Good Samaritan. Plus he donated millions. His efforts in Haiti were very similar. He was the bad boy turned hero.
Kristen, though uncomfortable with the media, soldiers through those interviews yet she is criticized way more than Penn ever was --- and only because certain topics are off the table. David Letterman treated her like dirt this past spring. If I ever see Letterman in person, he is going to have to deal with me for the way he bullied Kristen in that interview. He is not scared of a 20 year old girl as she can't kick his ass like Penn could have. He treated her like she is Paris Hilton when she is the polar opposite of that talentless, egotistical attention whore. Of course this interview happens not long after several of Dave's young former interns came forward regarding sexual harassment while under his employ --- all while he is a married man. No one talks about Letterman's misdeeds anymore. Every mistake Kristen makes is amplified and takes much longer to be forgiven.
I actually started this blog wanting to compare the personalities and talents that I find similar between Penn AND Kristen, but I ended up going off on a tangent.
Penn is very private, abundantly talented, AND passionate about his work. These are Kristen traits as well. Also, perhaps partially due to Penn's influence, Kristen was very generous with Haiti relief. She wrote a big check herself, plus gave three rich women a chance to hang out with her at the Sundance Film Festival if they made a certain high level contribution to Haiti relief. Not too many young movie stars would do that. Men were not invited. She is not stupid. She wouldn't torture Robert by having rich old men buying an afternoon of her company.
When Penn cast Kristen for into the Wild he was quoted and I have not been able to find those quotes (this time) so I am going to paraphrase. He said he was hesitant at first to cast her because she is too beautiful and he was afraid that would affect the authenticity of the story. But upon further consideration, he was trying to show the loving side of Chris McCandless, and Kristen's inner beauty was as powerful as her outer beauty. The sweetness and inner beauty that emanates from Kristen was just what the film needed.
This inner beauty about Kristen has been under attack since she became uber famous. Its so unfortunate. For those of us that pay attention to Kristen, we know that sweetness, that truly caring nature of hers, is there. She wears her heart on her sleeve, but unfortunately she was forced to protect herself to prevent her kindness from being exploited. Those very early Twilight interviews show that personality. It's too bad she must protect that side of herself now.

Why do you do this Ted?
When I started my obsession with Kristen, I quickly liked the idea that she was with Rob. Mostly because Rob seems so humble and I can't stand the idea of her being with some egomaniacal Hollywood type. I have seen more than enough that I have come to the conclusion those two are together. April though June erased any doubts I had. What has happened since has been SO unnecessary AND Rob and Kristen have been treated like zoo animals.
I started reading Ted for the first time last spring. For a few months, I could not understand why he caught so much crap from people that shared my views on Kristen ( including the real life deal with Rob ). He certainly said that Rob and Kristen were very real. And he seemed to like Kristen as much as I did --- and he is not straight. So why where people that agreed with me so angry at Ted?
I finally figured it out. Ted has to stir the pot. He can't just let it be. Perhaps he needs controversy -I don't know. Showing the pictures of the house was too much, though I thought he was acknowledging that as a mistake.
But Ted, why the hell are you providing a platform for the hateful side of this fandom? I read his entry this morning and some of the comments. Whoever wrote this comment sums it up for me.

This embarasses me. I have WAY too much respect for Rob and Kristen to partake in this. I think you'll find, Ted, that most of Team Robsten is far more interested in protecting Rob * Kristen's relationship than proving they were right all along.

Why not walk away from this?
Remember the story that came out a few weeks ago that suggested Rob and Kristen were going to stop doing Hollywood movies after their Twilight obligations were over? The story was quickly discredited as false.
I am sure it was false. However, from what I have learned about Kristen (and Rob ), the concept of escaping this rabid fandom has to be appealing.
I didn't pay attention to Rob/Kristen news for a few days and then learned late last night about the Kristen airport situation. What I am concerned about is it was ANOTHER airport situation for Kristen. This time was more about fear for her safety. It's not the same as what happened two weeks ago in LAX, but it is another event where large crowds are surrounding a person who sometimes describes a party as being "claustrophobic." I can understand that feeling.
After the Twilight Saga is over, Rob and Kristen will have a substantial combined wealth. Should they choose to live off the radar screen it can certainly be done. I would be happy for them if they went that route.
Of course the reason NOT to do this: they must take advantage of the iron while it's hot. How can they walk away from 15 million a movie right now?
Just thinking.
I apologize for the short blog entry. Just not feeling it right now. Good thing I am only writing this for myself, right? (-;

Blogger accusses Kristen of being miserable and bringing others down
In my last entry, I stated that those who feel Kristen Stewart is not handling her trips through LAX and have taken liberty to criticize her, then you need
to show us your qualifications. Show us an equally unpleasant situation and how you handled it with such grace, otherwise STFU.
I was shown a blog today by one shallow being name X. I decided not to name her or show the URL because she says nothing unique. To be honest, she has nothing original to distinguish her from fans who are simply jealous of Kristen.
The blogger says Kristen's middle finger is ultimately directed to you and me. Actually, Kristen is only flipping off the photographers who followed her on that long airport journey, or the ones who spy on her with a long lens. However, I will accept that I deserve anger or disapproval from Kristen if I am providing a market in which these pictures are bought & sold. I didn't elect paparazzi to represent my interest in the airports and other public places. I guess blogger X feels that she & paps are one in the same.
Blogger X has not only taken liberty to judge Kristen's LAX walks, but she takes it much further, basically equating Kristen to a miserable person who wishes to spread her misery to those around her.
For the sake of argument only, lets say this blogger is correct -- that Kristen did a bad job of handling her walk at LAX. So that also means that her all around behavior and demeanor is that of a miserable person with no joy in her life.
This blogger, and others like her, have two things they use to make this broad characterization. (1) Kristen hates being photographed by the Paparazzi, especially at the end of long plane trips (2) Kristen prefers to keep her personal life as private as possible. She won't spill to the press. Since those two items are true, then she must be a miserable person, who brings those around her down, and poor Rob is her biggest victim.
Forget that Rob and Kristen spend more time than any other celebrities signing autographs and taking pictures with their fans. I wasn't aware that ungrateful, miserable people do that.
So no other celebs have a tendency to raise their middle finger at the paps? Really?
Interestingly, X writes that we fans are fortunate that people such as Johnny Depp have not misbehaved so poorly in response to paparazzi intrusions. Depp has not only used the middle finger, but he was arrested for fighting with the paparazzi in 1999.
Forget that anyone who has ever worked with Kristen goes on and on about how much fun she is to be around and how easy she is to work with.

Oh, and when he is not with Kristen in airports, he is just full of joy and smiles right?
And since the Teen choice awards were addressed --- in that Robert kept his hands to himself and did not seem to be having a good time --- it must be that damn Kristen
has taught him to be miserable. It couldn't possibly be that he misses her? That he is the happiest when she is around?
It seems to most observers, but apparently not blogger X, that Robert's smile with Kristen around is huge. But if you take her away then it appears he is just going through the motions. Because she makes him miserable, ya know.
The blogger even had a solution --- dump Robert and date someone not in the business. Because you know we have complete control over who we are attracted to. If its not convenient, then it certainly can't be worthwhile.
Our blogger says she knows what's Indie, and since Kristen prefers this type of movie to box office smashes, she sold out by doing Twilight. So when everyone who made Twilight thought it might be a cult classic --- they were all lying? When did Kristen say she would only do Indie movies? What I have heard her say is being famous gives her the choice of roles to take and for that she is quiet grateful for what has happened with the Twilight Saga.

Kristen Stewart -- sexiest woman on the planet
I am officially declaring Kristen Stewart the sexiest woman on the planet.
In a couple of years, when the rest of the men learn about her because they will have seen her in movies not target towards teens, then I will say "told you so"
It's logical. If you take a poll, most women today are going to pick Kristen's BF,
humble Rob. And it's become quiet clear that if he is given the choice, he is not letting her out of his site. I wouldn't either.
When I use the term obsession, I don't mean the literal. I mean a fixation or a crush. I have never fanboy'd before so I have nothing to compare this Kristen obsession.
I only have personal experience. I have obsessed before, but I knew and dated those women.
UPDATE 11/22/10 This post seems to have legs and is showing up on google searches 3 months later. I am removing the personal experience.
I do want to add that certain groups of women persist with their absurd claims that Kristen isn't good enough for Robert. That is absolutely ridiculous. Kristen is so unique. There isn't a more attractive woman in Hollywood. Obviously Robert Pattinson agrees with this.
Also, whoever keeps spamming the comments section of this post with a soft porn URL, please stop it. END UPDATE
So I have little tolerance when I hear of these crazy Rob fans who would do Kristen harm because she has what they want. Violence towards women is unacceptable in all cases. But I was ready crawl through the Internet and xxxxxxx these bxxxxx on Monday.
Montreal is over. It was memorable. Kristen was treated well there. I hope the picture didn't cause her any grief. I am glad Rob is with her. They belong together.
